Frequently Asked Questions

What regular programs are available for youth at Paramount?
There are two main components of our youth ministry. The first is on Sunday mornings. Our youth meet at 9:45 a.m. for Bible study in Building C in departments divided by grade.

On Wednesday evenings, Paramount youth gather again for 626, which begins at 7 p.m. in Room C150. Click here to see a campus map .

What is 626?
626 is a combined worship experience for 6th grade students through high school seniors. From week to week the format may change, but the typical gathering may include games, experiential worship, praise songs, discussion, preaching and teaching.

And “626” means…?
It comes from Isaiah 62:6 — “I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night.” As a student ministry, we are called to be watchmen over the students in our care. We also teach the students in our ministry that God calls them to be “watchmen” over each other.

When does 626 start?
The worship hour begins at 7 p.m. each Wednesday in Room C150, but doors open at 6 p.m. The 626 Café/Coffee Bar is open from 6 to 7, as well as the game room located on the second floor of Building B (near the walkway between B and C). Students are encouraged to come early to hang out before 626 begins. At 6:55 p.m., the game room and coffee bar close and students are encouraged to make their way to Room C150.

When does it end?
We finish things up by 8:15 p.m., at which point the Game Room reopens until 9 p.m. Then you have to go home.

Where do I go?
To get to the 626 Café and Room C150, use either of the Building C entrances. To get to the Game Room, enter through B6 and proceed upstairs.

Where do I park?
We’d prefer that, first, you’d park in the Purple Parking Lot north of Building C. Once it fills up, use the Blue Parking Lot across Terrace Street.

What else do I need to know?
We try to keep 626 a secure place, so upon arrival, all students need to check-in at any one of our computerized stations. All first-time guests need to proceed to the manned counter located in the game area. We’ll take care of you from there.

Who’s in charge?
Aaron Groff , Dennis Humphrey and Kristi Greenway are responsible for all aspects of the evening at 626, but we also have a full crew of adult volunteers around on Wednesday nights. Other people who will always be in the know include Melanie Groff (Aaron’s wife), Jamie Humphrey (Dennis’s wife), Scott Greenway (Kristi's husband) and Karolyn Price (Youth Ministry Assistant).

Do I have to dress a certain way?
Not really. Dress is casual, but modest attire is appreciated. If you have any other questions, feel free to contact any one of our staff .
